Are Sims 3 mods dangerous?

So Im researching sims 3 mods because I've never done one and im interested in one that has teenage pregnancy and i read another one you can play game without the disk... But im also nervous about installing this wrong or accidently getting a virus or even hurting the game, any opinions? Are Sims 3 mods dangerous?
Most are harmless. The items you're referring to are completely different. A crack to play the game without the disc is not a mod. The Inteenimater mod does cause problems. It's a very invasive mod that changes a lot and does cause serious problems. I wouldn't download it if I were you.Are Sims 3 mods dangerous?
mods can be dangerous for your computer, with virus's and malware, but simply scanning the file for virus's and putting up your firewall usually does the trick - as well as avoiding bad looking sites lol.

i have many mods for sims, and they usually work perfectly well, there is just the odd one that adds a virus that is very easily removed. Are Sims 3 mods dangerous?
Mods are not dangerous, it just changes the game, and crack doesn't effect the game, it allow you to play without the disk, so crack is not dangerous, but some crack files might have viruses, but it won't really affect your computer if you have a virus detector. But most of the crack files dont have virus
well mods themselves don't have anything inherently dangerious in them, they just change how the game works, from changing how things look, to changing rules like the pregnancy limit you mentioned. the crack though is consider wrong to use, and it's common for the sites that claim to offer cracks actually contain viruses.

(cracks=play without disc)
