How to install sims 3 mods?

I recently started playing the sims 3 and wanted to know how to install skin and hair mods from w/e site out there (EXCEPT FROM THE OFFICAL SIMS SITE). I just want to know how to do it properly and which sites have the best mods.How to install sims 3 mods?
In short (for PC):

Make a new folder in your Sims 3 folder and name it Mods, inside that folder make a new one and name it Packages. In the end, it should look like this:

C:/Programs/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Mods/Packages

That's where you'll wanna dump the .package files :3

That site has another way to do it, in your Documents folder. I've never done it that way, so if you'd prefer to do it that way, just go to "Install .package" at the top~
